How it works
Tell us where the work is
Share your last few months of jobs by postal code, your average ticket and roughly how many enquiries arrive in Punjabi versus English. That shows us which communities and which language deserve the first dollar.
Get a written plan with a ceiling
We name the town centres to target, the language split to test, and the monthly cost, including ad spend, before anything is switched on. You approve it or walk away.
Talk to the person who plans it
No call centre and no hand-off to a junior rep. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.
Surrey is not one market, and it is rarely one language. A renovation company in Newton, an auto shop near Scott Road and a cleaning business in Grandview Heights are all "Surrey businesses", but they compete for different customers, in different search results, and often in different languages. SurreyAgency.ca exists to plan marketing around those differences instead of pretending they aren't there.
We work with trades and local service businesses across the whole city. We don't install, fix or service anything ourselves: our job is the marketing, and the advice that goes with it.
Why Surrey needs its own plan
Surrey is large, it is still growing, and it is spread out. The city counted 568,322 people in the 2021 Census, up 9.7% from 2016, and it organises itself into six communities, each with its own town centre: Whalley (City Centre), Guildford, Fleetwood, Newton, Cloverdale and South Surrey.
For a service business, that size cuts both ways:
- The demand is real. More households and more new homes mean more people needing trades, repairs, cleaning, landscaping, moving and everything else a growing city consumes.
- The distance is also real. A crew based in Cloverdale that books a job in Crescent Beach, then one in South Westminster, loses a big part of the day to driving. Marketing that brings "Surrey" leads without asking where they are can quietly cost you money.
So the first question we ask is not "how many leads do you want?" It is "which town centres can you serve profitably, and which ones are you just driving through?" Our areas page walks through all six.
Two languages, measured separately
Punjabi was the mother tongue of 22.7% of Surrey residents in the 2021 Census, according to figures reported from Statistics Canada. Mandarin (5.0%), Tagalog (3.3%) and Hindi (2.6%) followed. That makes a Punjabi campaign an obvious idea for many owners. It doesn't make it an automatic win.
Here is the honest version. Mother tongue tells you what language someone grew up with. It does not tell you what they type into Google when the dishwasher leaks. Plenty of bilingual customers search in English and then call the business whose staff can talk to their parents in Punjabi. Others respond strongly to a Punjabi ad on social media but never search in Gurmukhi at all.
That's why we run each language as its own campaign, with its own landing page, its own budget line and its own tracked phone number. After 60 to 90 days you can see, in plain numbers, what each language costs per booked job. Our Punjabi and English campaigns service explains how the test is set up.
We don't claim in-house Punjabi copywriting. We recommend a qualified native-speaker translator, brief them properly, and build everything around their work.
What we do for Surrey businesses
Four services cover most of what a local owner needs. You don't have to buy all four, and we'll tell you which one to start with.
| Service | What it solves |
|---|---|
| Local search across the six town centres | You don't show up in the map results near the customers you want |
| Punjabi and English ad campaigns | You're paying for ads but can't tell which language or area pays back |
| English and Punjabi websites | Your site is slow, vague, or treats Punjabi as an afterthought |
| Reviews and fast replies | Leads go cold because nobody called back, or reviews sit unanswered |
The services overview helps you choose between them.
A quick number to check before you spend
Before you hire anyone, including us, work out what a lead is worth to you. Suppose your average job is $1,200 and your gross margin on it is 40%. That's $480 of gross profit per job. If you close one in three enquiries, each enquiry is worth about $160 of gross profit. Spend more than that per enquiry and you're buying revenue at a loss.
That one calculation decides how hard you can push paid ads, how many town centres you can afford to target, and whether a second language should start as a $500 test or a full campaign. We'll walk through it with your own numbers in the first conversation.
The proof we can show you
Our published results come from our HVAC work, because that's where the group's portfolio began. They show the method, not a promise for your sector. BCWide.ca saw 3× leads in 90 days, and GasBoilers.ca, a gas-boiler division built for CANRO Heat, serves 26+ BC communities with a 5.0★ rating from 76+ Google reviews. The results page explains what transfers to a Surrey trade or shop.

Frequently asked questions
What is SurreyAgency.ca?
It's a Canadian digital marketing and business consulting service for trades and local businesses in Surrey, BC. It belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, which is headquartered in Vancouver, and it's led by Ali Sedighi, MBA.
Do you do the work yourselves, like plumbing or renovations?
No. We're not a contractor and we don't install, repair or service anything. Our part is planning the marketing, running it and giving you straight advice on growth.
Do you write the Punjabi copy in-house?
No, and we'd be wary of any agency that claims it without showing you who does it. We write the strategy and the English source copy, then recommend a qualified native-speaker translator, ideally one who knows your trade, and we build and test the pages and ads around their work.
Should every Surrey business advertise in Punjabi?
Not automatically. Punjabi was the mother tongue of 22.7% of Surrey residents in the 2021 Census, but many of those customers search in English. We usually start with a small, separately tracked Punjabi test and let booked jobs decide how far to take it.
What does it cost?
Plans start at $1,999 a month on a month-to-month basis, or $1,499 a month billed annually, plus 5% GST. Ad spend and translation are separate and paid directly. Eligible trades businesses get a free 30-minute first consultation.
Your head office is in Vancouver. Do you know Surrey?
Vancouver is across the Fraser, not across the country. Every plan we write is built around Surrey's six communities, the roads your crew drives and the search results customers in each town centre actually see.
